After the city portion of our trip, Paris, the French Riviera is exactly what we needed. Our Multi-city trip included Paris, Nice and Monte Carlo. The French Riviera is the beach cities on the Mediterranean coast. This is where you want to come to relax, lightly explore and enjoy the glamour of the town. Most of the beaches are rocky so bring/buy swimming shoes. You can also just lay out on the hotel beach beds. The French Riviera is known for luxury and hosts some of the biggest events like the Cannes Film Festival. Hot take – we had Nice had better croissants than Paris!

Accommodation – We stayed at Hotel Negresco for four days and three nights. We loved this luxurious Nice stample and particularly enjoyed our welcome drink and their beach set-up. Although the hotel was built in the 1912, it mixes the luxury of the past with the present five-star amenities. It’s located on the Promenade des Anglais (the main beach-facing road).
Food – We loved waking up and walking the Promenade des Anglais to find a local cafe or small restaurant for coffee and croissants in the morning. I absolutely loved Le Plongeoir, which I can best describe as a two-level restaurant built on a rock pier overlooking the sea. Space is limited so make sure to make reservations in advance. We also really loved explore and eating in Nice’s Old Town, Vieux Nice, for a small mom & pop/authentic feel.
Transportation – Walking and taxis will be your main mode of transportation. Wear your comfortable shoes!

Best of the Best – If you’re not ready for the rocky beach, it will be a let down. The one thing that won’t let you down is exploring Old Town Nice and walking the coastal ave.
