WHY WE ♥ THE MONTE CARLO:

We came to Monte Carlo, on administrative district of Monaco, for one reason and one reason only.. my husband’s birthday! While staying in Nice (pronounced Niece) along the French Riviera, we were pondering how to spend the day of this actual bday. After a morning of surprise gifts and a tiramisu delivered to our room (his favorite), we were a bit stuck on what to do. We already went to the beach and wanted a different vibe. We Settled on Nikki Beach Fairmont Monte Carlo. Nikki Beach is essentially a luxury beach club with a DJ, food and drinks.

Since it was hubby’s bday, we wanted a poolside cabana, which requires you to buy a bottle. Even after visiting Paris on the same trip, this was our most bougie experience. The vibes were rich European and we were the most “diverse” couple there. Nonetheless, it was a blast! The music was good, the small bites were awesome and taking a dip in the pool was perfect! We even made a few new friends. This was the perfect bday turn up for bae!

Truly, we would love to revisit Monaco for all the great sights and things to do. This time, however, it was all about the party!

A Candid Cost Calculation:

Accommodation – We did not stay overnight but Fairmont Monte Carlo is a luxury hotel that you can book. We stayed in our Nice hotel.

Food – The food at Nikki Beach wasn’t out of this world (although, the prices may be) but it is enough to keep you satisfied. We both had burgers, fries and appetizers.

Transportation – I highly recommend getting here by taxi. Your hotel can help you arrange and Fairmont Monte Carlo can help you book a taxi back.

Best of the Best – We came here for the vibe and it delivered on my favorite holiday, my husband’s birthday!

PRO TIPS ♥:

Plan in advance We certainly did not plan in advance. This was a spontaneous move that worked out perfectly! Nikki Beach, however, is very popular with locations worldwide. We were fortunate it wasn't fully booked. We also didn't mind splurging because it was hubby's bday but it would be nice to plan out that expense.

Tip your Waiters They bring an awesome vibe but it is still work for them!

Talk to People It may feel a bougie at first, and it is, but we found most people to be super nice! I meet a few girls who were awesome and we even ended up eating and drinking with another couple 🥂

Take a change of clothes I literally had a bday dinner fit packed, but we had too much fun and had to cancel our reservation. You can still pack a coverup or outfit to explore more of Monte Carlo when you are done.
