Going to The City of Love for the first time, we actually acted like we’ve been there a million times. We avoided tourist traps at all costs and really just leisurely enjoyed the beauty of the city. We didn’t even go up the Eiffel Tower because the best view is the tower itself, from the outside. We went to cafés and took our time, we mostly window shopped on the famous Avenue des Champs-Élysées (I did buy two coat$). It would have been cool to see the Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum but we decided to skip the hours-long wait and take pics outside instead. I love boat rides but we didn’t do it in Paris. Instead we got shared e-scooters and had a thrill riding through the streets at night, under the glistening Eiffel tower. After, we had our own dance party at the famous Trocadéro. I loved roaming the streets by day and getting dressed-up for dinner at night. The one tourist trap things that I don’t regret doing was getting dressed up to do a night photoshoots overlooking the Eiffel tower. There are many street photographers there who will charge you and airdrop you the photos. Our second stop on this trip was the South of France – Nice on the French Riviera.

Accommodation – We stayed at Hotel West End in Paris. We had a small cozy room with gorgeous french windows and loved ordering breakfast in our room. Plot twist we had good croissants in Paris but didn’t have great ones until we got to the South of France. We also liked this hotel for its walkability.
Food – I was warned several times that dinner food in Paris was just meh – okay. I had the total opposite experience! I really enjoyed the food in Paris – although not exotic enough for me to point out a specific dish that you should try. There are a million cafés and eateries to try. The two fanicer places that we enjoyed for dinner were L’ Avenue and the terrace of Girafe or their sister venue here La Suite Girafe (make sure to go around the time the Eiffel Tower Lights up).
Transportation – Dust off you walking shoes! Walking most places is the best way to see the city. You can also rent bikes and e-scooters. Uber is also fully functional.

Best of the Best – Riding e-scooters at night through the streets of Paris was no doubt a high of this trip. We already made it back to our hotel after a long day of walking and exploring – I was tired! Yet, hubby had this idea to download an app and rent e-scooters. I obliged and thank God I did! The cool night air breezing through my hair, zooming past restaurants and shops, seeing the sights and of stopping to gaze at the dazzling Eiffel Tower was all a wonder. I highly recommend 🥰.
